Core Focus
SEO Consultant & Web Developer with a practical focus on website development, backend systems, hosting setup, and business tooling.
Bringing clarity to complex systems through digital craftsmanship.
SEO consultant and web developer delivering organic search growth for UK small businesses. Eight years of freelance SEO alongside running BoldCrafter, managing search delivery across four client accounts covering technical SEO, local search, content and AI search optimisation. Builds the platforms as well as the strategy - a hand-built PHP/MySQL MVC carrying its own SEO auditing, llms.txt generation and IndexNow submission - so recommendations get implemented rather than filed. Explains search decisions to business owners in plain language and reports on what the data actually shows.
I help small businesses turn practical requirements into working websites, systems, and digital processes that are easier to manage and maintain.

ncristea.com
Run technical SEO audits across own and client sites, resolving crawlability, indexing, site structure and page-speed issues to lift indexed coverage and organic visibility.
Build keyword, competitor and search-intent research into prioritised roadmaps, directing effort to the pages with real commercial upside rather than the easiest wins.
Optimise metadata, headings, internal linking and page copy against those roadmaps, improving rankings for target commercial terms.
Prepare sites for AI and agentic search, auto-generating llms.txt kept aligned with the sitemap and robots rules, and tracking AI crawler activity across eleven named agents to show which surfaces actually read the site.
Monitor performance month on month and act on what the data shows, achieving citation in Google's AI answers for recommendation-style local queries.
Plan and publish technical content at scale against a written editorial and on-page rule set, building topical coverage through category and tag taxonomy and internal linking rather than isolated posts, and audit the whole library against those rules instead of post by post.
Query and report on first-party analytics data in SQL - traffic, sources, device and bot split, per-page performance and error surfacing - and use it to prioritise which pages get optimised.

The platform my agency work runs on, built from scratch rather than assembled from a CMS and plugins: a hand-built PHP/MySQL MVC framework of 124 controllers, 75 models and 52 services, covered by 52 automated tests. SEO tooling is first-class and proprietary: automated site auditing and scoring, SEO reporting, page metadata management, llms.txt generation for agentic search, and IndexNow submission that fires on publish so new and changed pages are announced instead of waiting to be recrawled. Search and analytics data is pulled in from Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, Bing Webmaster Tools and Ahrefs. Content is produced through a multi-provider AI pipeline with topic discovery drawn from Google Autocomplete, Reddit, Stack Exchange and YouTube suggestions, plus UK market research, AI image generation and an on-site chat assistant. The commercial side carries Stripe payments with webhook-driven order fulfilment, a shop and cart, customer intake, bookings, a KPI dashboard and Telegram alerting. Social publishing posts to Facebook and LinkedIn. Security includes login challenge handling, granular agent permissions and a scheduled dependency vulnerability scanner. The platform is also its own proving ground: the site carried no search presence until March 2026, and within the first three months of being crawlable it reached 68,700 impressions, with city landing pages for Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Coventry all moving from zero to ranking. Click volume is still early-stage while those pages climb, which is the honest position for a site five months into indexation.
A second hand-built PHP/MySQL MVC platform, separate from BoldCrafter, running my own site and acting as a testbed for search work. It carries a blog with AI-assisted drafting and SEO rewriting, page-level metadata management, sitemap and llms.txt generation, IndexNow submission, structured content models for projects and experience, an analytics layer with visit tracking, and a private admin area behind an obscured route with API-key authentication and CSRF protection. Everything public is exposed through a documented private REST API rather than direct database access. Built without a framework by choice - no Laravel, no WordPress - because the platforms I maintain need to stay light enough to score well and simple enough to debug at speed. The analytics layer is my own: a first-party tracker writing to MySQL, with the reporting queries that turn it into answers - visits and unique visitors over a rolling window, human versus bot classification, device, operating system, referral source and per-page rollups, plus 404 and error surfacing. It carried 92,035 tracked visits and 24,073 unique visitors over the last 90 days, half of that volume correctly separated out as crawler traffic, and it is what I read to decide which pages get work.
Built and run the publishing pipeline behind a 337-article technical library covering search, web development, security and small-business technology, published between April and September 2026. Wrote the editorial rules the pipeline enforces, then built the tooling that holds the library to them: AI-assisted drafting working from those rules, automated on-page auditing across every post, and metadata generated and checked at publication rather than retrofitted. All 337 articles carry a meta title and description; an automated audit of 330 of them returns no critical issues, no warnings and no broken links. Content is organised across nine categories and a 2,005-term tag taxonomy that drives internal linking and topical coverage, so pages support each other instead of competing. The editorial rules, the auditing and the pipeline are mine; every post is checked against those rules before it publishes.
Search visibility recovery and ongoing platform delivery for a Coventry vehicle repair business, through BoldCrafter. The site had gone nearly a year without SEO activity and had slid out of view; visibility returned within the first month of structured work. The site started from zero: no blog posts, no service-area or location pages, and no content programme at all. Content SEO began in April 2026 and was run aggressively over the following months, alongside a rebuild of the platform itself. Google Search Console shows 1,030 organic clicks and 118,000 impressions across a three-month window at an average position of 13.5, and the trend is still rising; guide content written from scratch earns its first organic clicks from a standing start. The business is also cited by AI search surfaces for recommendation-style local queries. Delivered as four platform releases since March 2026 on a custom MVC build: technical SEO, theme and layout fixes, an AI chat assistant, structured enquiry intake, and instant phone notifications for new bookings and contact enquiries so the shop can respond while the customer is still choosing. Built for agentic search as well as classic crawling: llms.txt is generated automatically from the same source as sitemap.xml and robots.txt so all three stay aligned, new and updated content is submitted to IndexNow automatically on publish rather than waiting to be recrawled, and AI crawler activity is tracked across eleven named agents including GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, so AI referral behaviour can be measured rather than assumed. Built on bespoke architecture with structured service and content fields, booking and quote forms, and a database designed around the shop's real workflow rather than a generic template.
Organic search growth for a Coventry car body repair business, delivered through BoldCrafter. Google Search Console shows 59 organic clicks and 8,640 impressions across a three-month window at an average position of 23.1. The homepage grew 340% to become the site's strongest entry point, service pages such as paintless dent repair began ranking, and new guide content on paint cracking went from no impressions to its first organic clicks. Work covered technical SEO, local relevance signals, service page structure and search-led blog content.
Organic search growth for a UK vehicle recovery and transport company, delivered through BoldCrafter. Google Search Console shows 37 organic clicks and 3,950 impressions across a three-month window at an average position of 23.2. Location pages covering Glasgow and Derby moved from no impressions to ranking and earning clicks, and guide content answering real customer questions - such as whether a car can be transported without an MOT - became a top entry point from a standing start. Work covered technical SEO, an area-page architecture for national coverage, and question-led content.
